Rangers Protocol , an infrastructure building platform for blockchain projects , completed and launched a testnet on July 19. On the same day, Rangers Protocol announced its first dApp — the BlueStone decentralized lending protocol. — has been successfully migrated from Ethereum to testnet.

BlueStone is an efficient decentralized lending protocol that can provide users with stable lending rates. Lenders often use BlueStone’s “Lend” function to provide liquidity to the lending pool . As loan providers, they can choose different tokens for loans and loan periods. Borrowers, often using the “Borrow” function , can choose a loan portfolio and pay only a fixed interest rate. In addition to lenders and borrowers, developers can also deploy a decentralized lending platform based on BlueStone.

A few days ago, the Rangers Protocol development team received a very detailed dApp migration notice from BlueStone. Now, Rangers Protocol shares it with all developers and users. The development team hopes people can get a more intuitive understanding of what Rangers Protocol is capable of through this announcement.

Thanks to Rangers Protocol’s full compatibility with the Ethereum EVM (Ethereum’s virtual machine) and its ability to be highly integrated with Truffle wallet and MetaMask wallet , the process of transferring dApps from Ethereum to Rangers Protocol is smooth and very user-friendly. developer friendly. This is mainly reflected in the following aspects:

No contract changes

Due to compatibility with EVM, contracts written in Solidity language can be deployed on Rangers without any modification.

Deploy the contract without problems

Rangers Protocol deploys dozens of contracts to the Ethereum mainnet or test networks in an extremely simple way. Along with that, Rangers realizes the convenience provided by Truffle Migrate and fully supports this feature on the Rangers Network. So the implementation for Rangers is pretty straightforward.

First, add the parameter of Rangers Network in truffle-config.js . Similar to the Ethereum testnets, Rangers provides a JSON-RPC API: https://testnet.rangersprotocol.com/api/jsonrpc , which can be used to initialize a wallet provider. Then, run truffle migrate with the network name specified in truffle-config.js to deploy all your contracts on Rangers.

Although the same command to deploy to both networks, the experience on Rangers is actually more developer-friendly. Truffle uses a fixed gas fee specified in truffle-config.js to interact with networks. Because gas fees fluctuate on Ethereum, Rangers must specify high gas fees in truffle-config.js to ensure the implementation will be completed within a reasonable amount of time.

The higher the gas charge that Rangers regulates, the more wasteful it will be. However Rangers Protocol eliminates this concern with a flat fee of 0.0001 RPG per transaction. Besides, the block generation time on Rangers is much faster than Ethereum which leads to a much faster deployment on Rangers.

Change UI

Rangers is integrated with Metamask. Just like Ethereum’s testnet support, Rangers simply injects the necessary contract addresses into the user interface and interacts with them while Metamask is active on the Rangers Network, with a Block ID of 9527.

The Rangers Protocol development team always puts themselves in the shoes of the users and finds ways to solve the problems they face.

Web3 Scripts

Rangers has web3 compatible NPM packages. It interacts with Ethereum contracts using web3.

Rangers Protocol is still in the early stages of development, so some DeFi infrastructure is lacking. Oracle puzzle pieces are part of that. Currently, the Rangers Protocol development team is trying to create contests for their own oracle projects. Besides more wallets and tools will join the Rangers ecosystem!

The BlueStone development team also revealed during the transition to the Rangers Network that the Rangers Protocol gas fee is very low because it has been fixed. Thus, BlueStone on Rangers Protocol has two significant gas fee advantages over BlueStone on Ethereum:

From a development perspective

When BlueStone deploys contracts on Rangers Protocol, there is no need to worry about high Gas fees like on Ethereum. This fact can certainly meet all the borrowing needs of users with different loan amounts.

From the user’s perspective

Although the lending contracts are all low-frequency operations, there is little difference between floating gas fees and fixed gas fees. As in the case of gas fees on Ethereum will increase to hundreds of Gwei. Each transaction will cost hundreds of dollars or even more. At this time, users often need to perform functions such as additional fees, which costs more processing fees.

BlueStone is just a starting point in allowing developers to experience the smooth running of DeFi application migration from Ethereum to Rangers Protocol. In the short term, Rangers Protocol will approach more diverse applications on the chain. The Rangers team is also developing NFT application related demos to give developers more application possibilities.

As a blockchain infrastructure that can create highly customized NFTs and complex game applications, Rangers Protocol adopts the most advanced cross-chain technology based on TSS (Threshold Signatures Scheme) , which helps to visualize data of the entire NFT casting process.

Earlier, Rangers Protocol officially announced that they have reached a strategic partnership with DeHero, whose NFT trading volume ranks second on BSC. When Rangers Protocol officially launches, DeHero will become a new NFT application in the Rangers Protocol ecosystem and the developer of its latest version.

Rangers Protocol currently allows developers to migrate Ethereum-based dApps to its testnet and deploy smart contracts. Both developers and users can apply for testing rights by sending an email to tech@rangersprotocol.com .

Introducing Rangers Protocol

Rangers Protocol is a blockchain infrastructure that integrates cross-chain, NFT, and EVM protocols. As a high-performance blockchain that realizes EVM multi-chain contract interoperability, Rangers Protocol serves all investors who want to explore the blockchain world. It allows pioneering developers to freely try out the wide range of content and applications in the Rangers Protocol ecosystem.
